Films must be submitted to the Invisible Film Festival (hereinafter
referred to as the Festival) by Monday 3rd July 2006. Submitted
material must be postmarked by deadline date.

Entries must be submitted on
DVD in PAL format only.
<
Correct
entry fee must be paid with each entry form. There is no limit on the
number of entries you may submit, but be sure to include one entry form
per entry. All cheques must be issued to the ‘Jersey Arts
Trust’. We do not accept cash.

A fully completed entry form must be submitted and to be considered you
must send with your entry form a brief synopsis of your film (no more
than A4.)

All submitted films must be originally created or entries must have
attached written permission to use music, pictures, video clips or
sound belonging to others. No copyrighted material may be used. Failure
to disclose will result in criminal prosecution.
<
There are five categories in total but only four of those are open for
local filmmakers. The Best International category is open only for
films which have been produced outside the Channel Islands.

If your film gets selected you agree to still-images and 3 minutes of
the film can be used on the Festival website, Festival publications and
all other media outlets related to Festival publicity.

The submitted material will not be returned (regardless if you have
enclosed a SAE and appropriate postage.)

The
Festival cannot accept responsibility for any damage or loss incurred
to the submitted material either in its care or during transit (do not
send any original film footage.) Submitted material should be insured
by the sender.

Festival
Awards >>

Four films will be selected for each category and one winner will be
awarded by the Festival jury.

In addition an overall winner will be selected for special recognition.

We aim to screen all selected films on Saturday 5th August free of
entry at the Cineworld complex in St Helier, but depending on numbers
of entries this may be reviewed and it is the discretion of the
Festival team how the running order of the event will take place.
Selection

The selection will be carried out by a Festival jury which is made up
of professional people working across and within the creative arts
industry both as artists, filmmakers, educators, organizers and
producers.

The
Festival will make no cuts or changes to submitted films.
<
The Festival does not pay rental fees for submitted work.
<
It is the policy of the Festival not to offer comments or reasons for
films not selected for the programme.
<
We aim to inform successful applicants in due course once the shortlist
of selected films has been drawn up.
<
We are unable to inform unsuccessful applicants.
